Sales people misleading and then throw the blame all on the customer!

Lenscrafters complaint by Smd556
I purchased a pair of glasses at a Lenscrafter in Nashua, NH on Feb. 18, 2008. Took 10 days to get due to anti-glare and anti-scratch coatings to be applied. Saleperson made them seem like such a good thing. Less than 2 months later, these glasses had more scratches on them the my pair I bought 21/2 years before(at Lenscrafters).Salepeople tried to say it was my fault, made up stupid excuses like "Each time you lift your glasses from your eyes to the top of your head, you're probably scratching them. (My hands never touched the lenses.) Then they told me they could replace them for a price and when I said that was unacceptable, they told me: "Life happens!" I ended up having the lense replaced for free minus the anti-glare which I originally paid for, but the reality is I paid for a product in the beginning that I ended up nort receiving- anti glare. The general manager told me the anti glare makes the lense softer so the anti scratch is placed on a softer lense making it more prone to scratches. No one told me that when I bought the glasses! Though I've shopped there for many years as well as my entire family, this is unacceptable and we will all be finding a nicer more honest place to get glasses.

come on now -  

it is clear that the benifits from the anti glare products are great - and improve the optical quality of the glasses -as well as the appearance -  

however granted they should have made it clear that you do need to take care of them - and how to actually do that -  

it is said - how you place blame on them - for you not taking care of the product -  

 

if you are happy with the old lenses - i think it is great they offered to replace them for free -  

but now you think you should get your $ back - come on - !! why don't they just give away all the glasses - and replace all the scratched glasses for 2 years for everyone - ?  

Listen you are dealing with plastic here - plastic scratches -  

i am not saying they where not at fault for not educating you on them - but they did make things right !!  

You should be happy with that - but it ppears noting will make you happy unless you get them for free -  

and i woudl think - even these free lenses - you will not be happy with soon
